Uni starts in 4 weeks and I can't describe how excited I am. I resat the year of college because I spent my second year socialising more than I was working and then this year I got ill early on in the year and had to drop out half way through college. I convinced myself I had no chance ever going to uni until results day came around and I managed to get in!! (Ok so it wasn't my first choice uni but I really am happy with where i'm going now). Anywaaaaaaay... the prospects of uni has made me really excited and has allowed me to justify any homeware purchases that I probably shouldn't be making.
Lets be real, students don't have a load of money and I wanted to find affordable pieces but didn't want to settle for second best either so I firstly popped into B&M (was meant to be food shopping) and found a some really nice bits. Copper is everywhere at the moment and I was so suprised to find a copper basket so cheap when I've seen them retail for up to £40. The cutlery I wasn't sure about but it stood out so I knew it wouldn't get mixed up with other peoples. When I got it away from the shop I really liked it and you can't complain about a 16 piece set for £6.99! So I probably didn't need the milk bottles and mason jars but I bought them anyway and thought the grey pot would hold makeup brushes or pens.
Primark always has cute homeware and it is so so cheap. The lights I had been eyeing up for ages and I was shopping alone supposed to be returning jeans and caved and bought them... I shouldn't be allowed to shop alone. The Pin set, hangers, cotton wool holder and gloves were all things that I thought I needed and they just happened to be cute.
TKMaxx always has on trend bit and usually cute stationery for reasonable prices. I find the prices generally more than say Primark however for the brands you're buying, it's a bargain. Not much to say as you can see it all for yourself but I think all the pieces are really cute and will fit in great in my new uni room. Btw the geo folder is not black print, it's gold.
Hope you enjoyed seeing some of the bits I've picked up over the last few weeks. I'm yet to get any duvet covers or anthing you would call 'essential' so clearly you can see where my priorities lie.
